A simple word document can be used by you as a teacher and by your students to report, discuss, comment, review etc. A picture can add meaning and appeal to documents.

Saving pictures and inserting them into word documents.

Task 2:

Follow the instructions below or work through the word document tutorial link and submit an example of a completed word document with image included. State which class this could be used with.

* right click on the image you want to save

* select "save picture as" (see image below)

* a window will appear which will allow you to choose where you wish to save the picture.(see image below)

* once you have saved an image, it can be inserted into a word document by following the following path....

insert..............picture...............from file............

select your picture which you have saved in an area and then click "insert".

Examples of how to implement word documents into your program:

* take digital photos of your students - have them insert their photo into a word document then they can write a passage about themselves. Inserting a sound recording of them goes that step further. Title the document using Word Art.

* use pictures of your school or town and then have the students write passages about them.

* save any picture from the internet and have students write about it - historical, cultural etc
